I love the size and shapes of the trees. I love the stained appearance and feel of the wood. One of the trees has several cracks in the top green portion. Another tree has a crack in the trunks. The trees have the treetop color on the top branches. There are some burrs and splinters on one tree top and underneath the green tops of trees. The burrs & splinters I can sand, and I understand that painting sometimes is uneven (getting the greens on the brown branches) and have experienced this with other brands (they’re handmade wooden toys after all! And sometimes the wood grain can cause paint to bleed/spread unexpectedly). I am worried about the cracks in the one tree top as I think it will split into multiple pieces easily with regular play. I’m also a little worried about the crack in the trunk of the other tree. I suspect I received an off batch as I’ve seen great reviews for this set & Flying Pig sells wonderful things (we recently placed a HUGE order with dozens of items and everything was exquisite except these trees). Our box of trees arrived sealed from the maker so I’m sure Flying Pig wasn’t aware of the quality of this particular set. The overall design is lovely and could well complement both Savannah and dinosaur play. I would recommend them for gentle play due to the thinness of the branches, which could be weak spots for breaking if handled roughly.

These are absolutely beautiful 🤩 sturdy but light weight, which makes them more child friendly!
