The Mercikos designer and craftsman finds his inspiration from the wooden toys of Scandinavian designers and Waldorf animals. He adds contrast with two different types of wood, preserving the natural color of the material and highlighting the forms of the animal with more rounded shapes. This eco-friendly wooden toy is crafted using sustainably harvested hardwood, organic olive oil, and beeswax. The lighter wood is white ash and darker wood is beech. This Waldorf toy is carefully crafted, rounded on all edges, and sanded silky smooth to appeal to your child’s senses. Because of the natural material, each animal is unique and will vary slightly due to the color and grain of the wood.
