Why do I need rings?

The colors of the rings are arranged based on the idea of contrast. But what is special about the pyramid is that the rings are not ordered from the brightest to the darkest. The bright ones are located between the dark ones to enhance the contrast. Stacking the rings on the wooden stacker is a great way to exercise hand-eye coordination.
